The Future: It's All About You and Apple is Ready to Lead

We are about to enter a period where technology will touch every point of our lives to a greater degree, and Apple is incredibly well positioned to continue leading.

It's obvious how dependent on technology we already are: From simply accessing information, to conducting business, to sharing our own content, to connecting with other people... Technology is already everywhere on our day-to-day lives. However, what is still missing is a perfect ecosystem between our many different devices, so that they can work together to serve us, the consumer. In the near future, all of our devices will connect and work together. Our wearable device, smartphone, self-driving car, smart home... Will all be synced and keep everything in check for us. The company that is best positioned to lead this new age, what Interbrand calls the "Age of You", is of course, Apple.

For years, Apple has been working hard to make sure that its products would work in a seamless ecosystem. It has done a good job so far, but what is truly impressive, is what is soon to come. The success of the Iphone and the recent or future release of the Apple Watch, CarPlay, HomeKit, HealthKit, iBeacon and Apple Pay is paving a bright future for the company. Besides the services that Apple products currently offer, such as Itunes, thousands of Apps, Siri and the ability to make payments, Apple will soon also help us keep our health in check, control our home, and make our car rides more enjoyable.

Additionally, Apple has great positioning when it comes to consumer privacy, an issue that is becoming more and more of a concern to consumers. While many of its competitors (Facebook, Google...) have their business models guided to analyzing consumer data and selling to advertisers, Apple CEO Tim Cook said: "Our business is not based on having information about you. You’re not our product... We take a very different view of this than a lot of other companies have. Our view is, when we design a new service, we try not to collect data, we’re not in that business. I’m offended by lots of it. And so, I think people have a right to privacy.”

It truly seems that Apple will continue to dazzle the world for many years to come. Now let me close my MacBook and go catch my train.

Best,
Pedro
