The History of Racism

This is a great documentary made by BBC that explains the history of racism in a very interesting way.

Racism emerged on the sixteen and seventeen century, with the European slavery of Africans and the new world. The British officers didn't initially believe in the racist ideals that supported the slave trade, but they needed a justification for the slave trade and that’s what they created. Racism is a lie that was told and many believed in it. Unfortunately iy still affects our world today.

I learned much when I first watched and I hope that you will find as insightful as I did. After watching the video leave a comment, what is your opinion?

  1. I like your definition of racism: a big, fat lie! For me, the concept was invented for business purposes back in the day... historically, men always put money ahead of people, of justice, of human rights... Racism is just one more concept created by men to justify it's actions... It has no relevant, deep, spiritual justification for that. In this world, everyone is equal... everyone fights, everyone should work together and win together, independently of skin color, religion, or anything else. When we all understand that, I'm sure we will be able to enjoy a much better world.
